Information about FV Sofie:

On February 2nd, 2018, FV Sofie was delivered to its harbor in Svolvær, Norway. The 13-meter long fishing boat, purchased by Brødrene Karlsen, is built solely on round edges, and does not feature the traditional hard chine commonly found on boats of similar size and function.

The ship manufacturer behind Sofie, Grovfjord Båtbyggeri, chose not to outsource any aspects of the build, and instead tailored both the interior and exterior at their on-premise location to fit the needs of their client. As a result, the boat features craftsmanship at the highest level, from solid oak doors, to comfortable and space-efficient lounging areas.

Under the hood lies a powerful Scania DI13 engine with a 500HP performance limit. Sofie is the manufacturer’s first from-scratch build since 1980, as its primary focus has been restoration and reparation work.
