Information about MF Dryna

On December 17th, 2005, the MF Dryna, Aker Aukra AS1 116th build, was delivered to Fjord1 in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. The ferry measures in at approximately 68 meters in length from bow to stern, 14 meters in width, and holds a total of 146 passenger and 35 cars.

Dryna replaces its predecessor, the Smøla, on the Brattvåg-Dryna-Fjørtoft-Harøya service, and subsequently increases the service capacity by nearly 50%. With a sturdy construction and fortified stern, Dryna is sure to be a reliable commuter ferry in all weather conditions.

Under the hood lies 4 Volvo Penta diesel engines, each with an approximate efficiency of 550hp. On deck sits four high-tech Brude Safety evacuation systems, as well as a Man-Over-Board rescue vessel. The ferry will begin service effective immediately.
